We adopted our dog here, he was a two months old puppy. The staff was very kind, friendly and helpful. We applied for a puppy we saw online but when we got there we didn't have a good connection with him, so the staff helped us to find the right puppy for us. They take care very well of the animals there, they keep the place clean and nice. The best part is that when we got our puppy they scheduled all his appointments for vaccines and vet control and they were included in the fee we paid for the adoption. They called to check on us to see if the dog was a good fit for us and they remind you about the appointments. It's a great place to look for a pet. We are very happy with our dog and with the service in this place!

I get that you want the animals to go to a good home however,,,after several visits and at least 4 applications over the last year...crickets! They don't respond via phone or anything else to keep you informed. A terribly broken adoption system. Take the time and drive further outside Fayetteville if you ever hope to rescue a cat or dog! Don't waste your time!

I am writing this review with the utmost respect and empathy. I recently visited your shelter and wanted to share my observations and concerns in the hopes of advocating for positive change. Firstly, I want to mention that the staff at the shelter does not display enthusiasm or passion for their work. Making it a lot harder for these animals to get adopted. They’re definitely not passionate about they do anymore. I understand how draining and frustrating it can get. Animal rescue can be a challenging and demanding endeavor. However, during my visit, I couldn't help but notice some areas where improvements could greatly benefit the animals' overall experience. The back of the shelter was extremely hot. Observing the state of the shelter's AC unit, I recognized that it required attention. Hence, I kindly offered my services to assist with its repair, without any additional charges and was told they already have a guy by the young man in the front. The lack of networking and failure to provide necessary resources, such as closing doors for potential future use, gives the impression that the shelter may not prioritize the well-being and care of these animals. Additionally, increasing the number of staff or volunteers may help ensure that each animal receives individual attention and care.

I was very interested to adopt a dog. Last week, I went ther but didn't see the inlet and I called and the attitude was terrible, the woman who answered didn't care at all. I went there again today and sent my documents and took my dog to the meets and greets after their approval. They took first a doggie I didn't apply for, it was raining very hard, and they took one of the dogs I applied for and yes, my dog was back of me, he was not playing under the rain, but he was fine. Then he said to go back to the office, the doggie didn't want to go back he was pulling her very bad. Then he didn't came back, I just stayed there until the woman who is normally in the front desk with very bad attitude, just came back and said it was too much for MY DOG... and I was like... whaaat??? And she said, yes, it is not fare for your dog to have a young female dog and there is the other doggie that I also applied for as another option, but it is raining, so no. Sooo, they don't know my dog, just because he was not playing in that moment during the rain and in an unknown place for him and he was back of my legs, then for them that was "not fare for my dog"?????? They don't know anything about him, they didn't even ask about his personality, anything... but they determined it was not fare for my dog??? If he wouldn't had been good, I would had said, no, he is not fine. But I know him much better, he is not comfortable in new places, neither in the rain and even with those things, he was fine with the doggie. Then yes, of course the best option is to have that poor doggie that didn't even want to go back to the biulding to her cage. If people there feel tired of their job, then they shouldn't do it if they are not really focused on helping these animals to find a home.

It's a very comfortable and inviting environment. The animals seem loved and well taken care of! They allow you to take your dog out and play with them in the dog park on the grounds so you can see how well you and the dog get along and its really nice. They are a no kill shelter so that is a huge plus! There are so many dogs that need a home I truly hope more people go to find their pet here instead of adopting.

Amazing place! The staff is amazing and is always willing to help out and answer any questions you may have. They always have a large beautiful selection of cats puppies small dogs and large dogs. If you want a running buddy or a couch potato I would most certainly check here. I also love there very detailed application process to ensure the animals they have in their care are going to the most well suited home for that animal. My little family gives 6 thumbs and 3 paws way up!

First of all, don't waste your time here, I've been here multiple times put multiple applications in, I was interested in two kittens and they said they would review it, afterwards we waited a week they said they would call us and they did not, We had to contact them back after being lied to, they said they were in the middle of the process of reviewing the application, and another week passes by still nothing, before this experience I applied for a dog, and they did not contact us back, I would highly recommend staying clear this place as I think if they really wanted to give these animals a second chance that, they would take the adoption process more serious and contact people back I think it's very rude for someone to apply and they don't even reach back out, highly recommend going to Durham animal shelter way better shelter.

I didn't adopt here. At least not yet, because I'm looking for a specific breed and age. The holding facility itself could use some improvement in the doggy areas - it's quite loud and echoey to the point of being painful to the ears. Without hearing protection the volunteers and workers could certainly face hearing loss. Its really that loud. While I'm not a vet I would imagine the dogs are potentially facing the same problem. Not knowing what funding is like, just a few hundred dollars in good quality foam on the walls would improve the experience for every party. I don't think it's that crazy. The employees and volunteers seem to actually care for the pets which is great. I've seen far too many shelters, APS, and adoption services that just don't give a damn about the animals. The future pets here seem to have proper exercise, nutrition, and regular potty breaks. If you're considering adopting give these guys a chance. There are so many lovely animals just waiting for their friendly forever home.
